聖誕節服侍溫東有需要家庭

在 2019 聖誕節，文更本地的合作夥伴機構 “V ancouver Urban Ministries (VUM)” 為溫哥華東區有需要的家庭帶來溫暖，當中活動包括為社區舉行聖誕節晚餐及送贈聖誕禮物籃。以下是一個簡單的英文匯報。

During Christmas season of 2019, our local partner organization “Vancouver Urban Ministries (VUM)” held 2 Christmas Community Dinners for the East Vancouver community of students and family members! A message of “peace” and beautiful Christmas music was shared that night. For several years now, VUM has been collecting gifts and packing hampers for families in East Vancouver during the Christmas season. In the last few years, CRRS has also contributed to the Christmas hamper campaign on top of sponsoring students in the VUM tutoring program . VUM was able to do the following:

60 hampers were passed out in total
87 gifts were given to the children who attended
180 people attended the two dinners combined

VUM mobilized local Vancouver churches and individuals to the packing of Christmas hampers, gathering gifts for children, hosting the dinner, cooking and serving the meal, taking photos, volunteering and driving the community members! May the Lord’s blessings be upon those who came to the dinner, those who contributed and those who served!
